      Meet the content creator, globe-trotter and quintessential SMR Days man, Lorenzo Liverani. Whether on the beaches of the Seychelles, in Marrakech’s Medina or reaching new heights in the northern Italian mountains, frequent flyer Lorenzo Liverani knows how to travel in style. Alongside documenting his favourite looks on his own Instagram, Lorenzo is the founder of Cali Cut, a lifestyle platform documenting his travels which is guaranteed to evoke wanderlust. Having recently fallen for the charms of Menorca, here he takes SMR Days on a sunny tour…

       

      When did you first visit Menorca?

      I went to Menorca for the first time last summer and returned a few months later.

      What are some of your favourite places to visit on the island? 

      I really enjoyed the intimacy of Cala Des Talaier [an unspoilt beach south of Ciutadella] and the sea of Cala en Turqueta. For restaurants I suggest S'Amarador, Ivette Menorca, Cova sa Nacra. To enjoy the sunset I recommend [cliffside bar] Cova d'en Xoroi.

      What are some of the best dishes to eat in Menorca?

      The unmissable Ensaimada de Mallorca [a traditional sweet pastry].

      Where do you stay?

      I stayed at Menorca Experimental.

      Talk us through a typical day in Menorca during the late summer..

      Menorca for me means relaxation, so everything goes very slowly. My days are mainly dedicated to the sea and reading. I like to enjoy the day as much as possible, so, until the sun goes down, [you’ll find me making the most of the] beaches and nature of the island.

      Do you prefer sunrise or sunset?

      The colours of the sunset..

      What is the best way to unwind in Menorca?

      Enjoying the nature of the island.

      How do you see the night out in Menorca?

      Menorca is not famous for nightlife; it is an island to be experienced by day. However, there are clubs to have fun in.

      What are your tips for a first-time visitor?

      Don't rush!
