Stockholm-based Konrad Olsson is a writer and editor who, in 2017, founded Scandinavian MAN, a magazine which runs under the banner “style, innovation and equality”. With world travel on pause, he’s missing everything about his former life, from running along Santa Monica beach to al fresco coffee in Italy (and even the customs line at Newark airport).

The little things. Arriving at a hotel lobby. Having coffee outside a small café in Florence, Italy. Heck, even just waiting in line for customs at Newark Airport.
The Standard in Los Angeles. The view over downtown – and then a short walk to drinks at Chateau Marmont and Sunset Tower. Being a pedestrian in Los Angeles is a specific kind of luxury.
A dark blue blazer that’s not too precious and can handle being folded. I like to feel reasonably dressed up, and I also like having a lot of pockets for passports, phone, receipts. Also, a good scarf is a must, no matter what the climate or temperature.
My daughter is nine. Seeing the world through her eyes makes me experience familiar things in a new way.
