Picture-perfect looks might have seen Armando Cabral model for fashion’s biggest names, but an eye for good design and an entrepreneurial spirit led him to launch his own eponymous men’s footwear label in 2008, where he continues to see each and every shoe down to its very last stitch. Globe-trotting since being scouted as a teen in Portugal, where he grew up, and with his designs stocked the world over, Armando knows more than a thing or two about travel.
I love being comfortable on flights. When I travel, I normally like to wear an easy, cropped trouser, T-shirt and a sweater.

I love travelling with my family – my kids. It’s fun and always exciting, if you forget all the logistics that come with it.
I recently discovered Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, it’s near the Marais and I love it. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, and the lounge and restaurant are all part of what makes it special for me. I also love the convenience of its location.
Portugal. The country is so beautiful; the weather during summer is amazing, and the food and wine is great. On top of that, it has amazing beaches. It’s my escape every year – it’s home for me.
